Ploy Law services

· services ·

Three services. Each defined, each priced, each focused on what your family actually needs.

We don't offer a general 'family law' catch-all. We've defined three specific areas where we can do our best work — and we're transparent about what each one involves.

· our methodology ·

How we approach every engagement

Every matter at Ploy Law begins the same way: a free initial consultation where we listen to your situation in full before offering any view on it. This isn't a formality. Understanding the specific details of what you're dealing with is what allows us to advise you well.

From there, the process depends on which service applies to your situation. Each service has a defined scope and a fixed fee agreed at the outset. If something arises that falls outside that scope, we discuss it with you before proceeding.

Throughout the work, we produce written outputs — not just verbal advice. Written summaries, draft arrangements, and position papers give you something concrete to work with, share with a trusted person, and return to later.

All written work is reviewed internally by a second lawyer before it reaches you. We take quality seriously because the decisions you make on the basis of our advice can shape how your family functions for years to come.

Spousal Maintenance Review

A focused review of spousal maintenance arrangements — either current arrangements that one party considers no longer reflective of their circumstances, or proposed arrangements being negotiated. The work covers a careful reading of the existing order or proposal, an assessment of how the relevant factors apply to the current situation, and a written summary of the position with discussion of possible courses of action. The intention is to give the client a clear understanding before any external steps are taken.

  • Reading and analysis of existing order or proposal
  • Assessment of applicable legal factors under Thai law
  • Written summary with discussion of options
  • Internal peer review of all advice

typical process

01Initial consultation and document collection
02Legal assessment of maintenance factors
03Draft summary reviewed internally
04Written summary delivered and discussed

Child Living Arrangement Counsel

· service 02 ·

Child Living Arrangement Counsel

A considered service for parents working out the practical arrangements for children's living and contact patterns following a separation. The work begins with intake conversations to understand the family's situation in detail and proceeds through the drafting of a written arrangement that addresses the day-to-day, school holidays, special occasions, and significant decisions. The aim is to produce an agreement that is workable in practice and that respects the children's interests as the central concern.

  • Detailed intake conversations with both parties (where applicable)
  • Coverage of day-to-day, holidays, and significant decisions
  • Drafted for practical workability, not just legal compliance
  • Child welfare kept central throughout

typical process

01Intake consultation — understanding the family's situation in full
02Drafting of initial arrangement covering all identified areas
03Internal review and revision
04Discussion, finalisation, and delivery

· service 03 ·

Cross-Border Family Law Coordination

A specialist service for families with members or assets across more than one jurisdiction — a situation that has become more common and that often involves coordination between Thai law and the law of another country. The work covers identification of the relevant legal frameworks, careful coordination with counsel in the other jurisdiction where required, and preparation of arrangements that have effect in both. We are explicit about the procedural complexity involved and discuss expected timelines and costs at the outset.

  • Identification of applicable legal frameworks (Thai and foreign)
  • Coordination with qualified counsel in the other jurisdiction
  • Arrangements with practical effect in both countries
  • Upfront transparency about complexity, timelines, and costs

typical process

01Consultation and jurisdiction mapping
02Engagement with overseas counsel where required
03Preparation of coordinated arrangements
04Review, finalisation, and delivery of documents
